Hello JJMC89,

I would like to bring this to your attention that this ip (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/2001:44C8:444C:9EBC:ED51:375B:2595:6B79) is abusing it's talk page and needs to be blocked, and talk page access revoked as well, I'll leave it to you to decide the length of the block. Chip3004 (talk) 05:23, 3 November 2021 (UTC)

I've given them a small break. If they return after, let me know. — JJMC89 05:27, 3 November 2021 (UTC)

Bot halted?

JJMC89 bot III (talk · contribs) has stopped half way through moving a category. – Fayenatic London 18:15, 3 November 2021 (UTC)

It's OK now. I don't know why it stopped before Jessup River Wild Forest (I processed that one), but at the next half-hourly check time it picked up where it had left off and finished the job. – Fayenatic London 19:26, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
@Fayenatic london: It is because of phab:T261050. — JJMC89 02:24, 4 November 2021 (UTC)
Thanks, I'm glad it is receiving attention. – Fayenatic London 07:42, 4 November 2021 (UTC)

You might want to take a look at this user's sandbox because there appears to be a potential Non-Free Image Violation. Chip3004 (talk) 04:17, 7 November 2021 (UTC)

Bot skipping certain listings at CFD

Hi, the listing at Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2021_October_30#Category:Tennis_players_of_Lebanese_descent is non-standard as regards Category:Sportspeople of Lebanese descent (retained), but I don't see why the bot does not process the merger of Category:Tennis players of Lebanese descent. See CFDW. – Fayenatic London 16:35, 13 November 2021 (UTC)

Ah, now it has processed the tennis players, thank you.[1]Fayenatic London 17:24, 14 November 2021 (UTC)

Appeal against the deletion of the article 'NIOA'

I would like to contest the deletion of the Wikipedia article 'NIOA', The company it described is notable in regards to being covered by the Australian national media such as Nine News Australia over its attempts to import Alder shotguns into Australia.
https://www.9news.com.au/national/gunsmiths-working-around-adler-ban/5fa66410-da25-4a67-b14b-123804a82c2b
The coverage are not exclusively promotive. The company have also gathered notability by being awarded a contract to supply ammunition to the Australian Defence Force and weapons to the New Zealand Defence Force.

https://www.defenceconnect.com.au/key-enablers/1530-australian-sme-to-deliver-weapon-systems-to-nzdf/
The page can be changed into something more neutral. It can be saved. Please, give the page another chance. --Hu753 (talk) 09:12, 16 November 2021 (UTC)

Football Logos

Hey!

I've added in a few of the logos for African nations from their football association's pages as they use the same identifying image. This is described on the Purpose of Use section of files like this one however the bot clearly doesn't check this section. What should I edit to avoid falling foul of your bot / would the use of the image in the way that I've mentioned be allowed?

The images that I've tried to use are as follows (all on their corresponding national team pages):

File:Egyptian Football Association.png
File:Eritrea NFF (logo).png
File:Eswatini Football Association.png
File:Gambia Football Federation (association football federation) logo.png
File:Djibouti FF (logo).png
File:FF Comoros (logo).png
File:Cameroon 2010crest.png
File:Liberia FA.png
File:Chad FFA (logo).png

Thanks for your time!

Could you explain to me why twice now JJMC89 bot has removed this file from the article? It was located in one of the orphaned non-free use Wikipedia files categories, which generally means that there is no fair use rationale for the article listed on the file page, but this file had before it was removed and still has a fair use rationale for the article in it. So I would like to know what I need to do to fix this, so that the bot stops removing it from the article. Thank you, Aspects (talk) 03:46, 26 November 2021 (UTC)

This also seems to apply to File:Mixtape Messiah 7.jpg in use in Mixtape Messiah 7 since it already had a fair use rationale for this article before it was removed. Aspects (talk) 04:25, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
(talk page watcher)@Aspects:I've taken a look at these files and the do seem to have the required rationales; so, I'm also not sure why the bot is removing them. After looking at the syntax of the file pages, however, there does seem to be quite a lot of unneccessary syntax clutter (particulary for the "Mixtape Messiah 7" file) added to the rationale templates that might somehow be affecting the bot's reading of the pages. I tried to fix the Mile High one and will re-add it to see if what I did resolves things. Maybe the rationale for the other file should be completely replaced with a simplified version of {{Non-free use rationale album cover}} as a way to try and sort that one out. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:34, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
