The information I added to Woolworths Group is current information I have checked with it I added it so people know what it was and the slogans — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.25.11.240 (talk) 03:43, 1 September 2015 (UTC)

Achal Kumar Jyoti article

This ip address belongs to one of the hostels of an institution, it so happens that students abuse wikipedia pages using this ip, is there a way to block users from this IP from editing articles? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 14.139.226.10 (talk) 08:05, 1 September 2015 (UTC)

@14.139.226.10: IPs can be blocked by administrators; however, I am not an admin. — JJMC89 12:23, 3 September 2015 (UTC)

You recently left a message on my wall, and that is one of the major issues with wikipedia. No source when somebody writes on it? Here's a crazy idea : HELP THEM! If your so in love with sources you could have looked it up and place a source -mountaindewman. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Themysteriousguy123 (talkcontribs) 11:31, 6 September 2015 (UTC)

@Themysteriousguy123: As the editor who introduced the content, it is your responsibility to provide a citation to a reliable source that supports the contribution. — JJMC89 15:10, 6 September 2015 (UTC)

JJ,
Thanks for your message regarding my edit of the Mariel Boatlift of 1980. Regarding your request for sources, please see the following comprehensive sources: [1], and for the original text, [2]. The US Coast Guard was and is the US principal lead law enforcement and military agency at sea, and was not 'overwhelmed' as the current article states. The current article is grossly misleading in that it gives the reader the distinct impression the US Department of Defense was the lead agency in assuring the safe migration of 100,000+ persons at sea. Other military agencies played a minor role in that mass migration at sea and wikipedia would be well served, as would the public, by including the article in its entirety, given the mass migration issues occurring in europe and the mediterranean today. Please serve humanity, thank you, CCMcFarland. CCMcFarland (talk) 14:26, 6 September 2015 (UTC)

@CCMcFarland: You need to cite your sources in the article when you add the content. I suggest not adding the entire text; you should summarize the main points. — JJMC89 15:19, 6 September 2015 (UTC)

Can I email you my sources backing up my Wikipedia article 'Gerard Garrett'
Gigerjv — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.41.1.233 (talk) 06:24, 7 September 2015 (UTC)

@Gigerjv and 86.41.1.233: No, you may not. The sources must be cited in the article. — JJMC89 14:46, 7 September 2015 (UTC)

But I didn't remove anything from this (my) article

Dear sir,
There are many users that are removing content from Mobile franchises of Pakistan. I can understand you but the last edit of this article wasn't by me, in which an unknown user deletes almost all the content from my article however i have the source code of this article. Sir may I add a externel page in my article just because you are removing it.User:Pakelectrical 23:37, 9 September 2015 (UTC)

@Pakelectrical: This isn't about the last edit. You removed maintenance templates with this edit. You should not remove them without resolving the problem. — JJMC89 01:00, 11 September 2015 (UTC)

Hi, there is no conflict of interest. I don't know Sage Mason personally. After business insider published an article about Phillips Exeter being the best prep school in the country, I started researching race relations at the academy because the article seemed to not discuss diversity very much. I read many newspapers and found Sage Mason frequently in the school paper, then I did some more research on him and I find him to be an interesting topic to write on. I've interviewed him twice, and I'm currently writing his biography on how a well off and prominent black boy can still be succumb to the racial prejudice of such an elite institution. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sagearikmason (talkcontribs) 20:19, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

@Sagearikmason: That is a COI. As his biographer you stand to financially profit from his biography. — JJMC89 20:38, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

Very few of the model entries are sourced. I have photos of Sage Mason modeling, but that wouldn't be appropriate to put on the page. I just want to create verified links to him around wikipedia for things he has participated in, that way people will click and learn more about him. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, a collection of knowledge. This is merely information, something that I'd think the wikipedia community would value dearly. If you don't mind, I'm going to change it back. Please don't block me from editing. I'm just trying to inform people, like any academic would. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sagearikmason (talkcontribs) 00:17, 14 September 2015 (UTC)

So much fun and happiness...

So thanks for helping with this IP - if you look at the history of the pages you can see that he was doing this yesterday too. I've reported him to WP:AIV with a further note there asking that the pages be semi-protected for a bit. It's annoying to deal with, but I don't think they realize we can revert faster and easier and eventually an Admin will step in. Thanks again! Ravensfire (talk) 00:54, 14 September 2015 (UTC)

@Ravensfire: No problem! It looks like we should be good now. Blocks and protection in place. — JJMC89 01:00, 14 September 2015 (UTC)

Cut and Paste

Amelia Baggs (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)Amanda Baggs (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

Please reverse your reversal of my cut and paste. I have explained the reasons for my actions on the talk page. The original move was in violation of WP:BLP and it should go to Amanda Baggs as quickly as possible. 1.152.96.207 (talk) 04:28, 14 September 2015 (UTC)

@1.152.96.207: Cut and paste moves are not permitted as the page history is legally required for attribution. An admin can properly move the page if necessary. — JJMC89 04:39, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
I've put in a move request as a result of that. 1.152.96.207 (talk) 04:50, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
@1.152.96.207: Thanks. I'll take a look at the move request and BLP issue. — JJMC89 04:57, 14 September 2015 (UTC)

Could you please explain why you removed everything on the Robbie Roscoe page? Thanks!--Doomsdayman (talk) 00:19, 20 September 2015 (UTC)

@Doomsdayman: Content was copied from List of Hollyoaks characters (2013) (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) to Robbie Roscoe (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) in this edit without attribution which is a copyright violation.[3] Also, there isn't consensus that the character is notable enough for his own article. The article was reverted to a redirect about 10 days ago. If you think the character is notable enough, start a discussion on the talk page. — JJMC89 00:47, 20 September 2015 (UTC)

Sam Sarpong (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

Dear jjmcc89 I removed the information about Sam Sarpong because the information was not correct. I know Sam and I'm trying to get the correct information back up which was up before. I don't know why the information was changed on his page. His correct age is 34 born December 19th 1979. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Caliboyx70 (talkcontribs) 01:18, 20 September 2015 (UTC)

Dear JJMC89 Thank you so much for all your help, its truly appreciated. I'm trying to get Sam's age back up to the correct age as it was changed two weeks ago for no reason. I'm not paid, but I am helping to get this problem restored as an intern. I have put in the proper request earlier today on the article's talk page. This is very important so you can please change it as soon as possible. It would be greatly appreciated. I have also sent the links on the articles talk page for the request and everything has been done the right way. Since I have followed the correct procedure can you tell me when it will be done. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Caliboyx70 (talkcontribs) 02:27, 20 September 2015 (UTC)
Dear JJMCC89 just confirming you got my last message to you I have submitted Sam's correct age request in his articles talk page. Could you please tell me when it will be changed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Caliboyx70 (talkcontribs) 03:52, 20 September 2015 (UTC)
Please see my comments at Wikipedia:Help desk. Perhaps there are two Sam Sarpongs? Dbfirs 06:53, 20 September 2015 (UTC)
@Dbfirs and Caliboyx70: I suppose there could be two. The DOB should not be included in the article unless a reliable source can be found that prints the DOB. — JJMC89 15:51, 20 September 2015 (UTC)

I've re-created the article with at least one reference, just so you know. Keegan (talk) 07:26, 21 September 2015 (UTC)

Hello, I need help adding a table at the beginning of my article, so that I can display campaign information on the table such as Campaign cycle, status, website, phone, etc.
An example would be the same table displayed on "deez nuts (politician)'s Wikipedia page.
Thanks Erin.Marcott (talk) 18:10, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

@Erin.Marcott: Take a look at {{Infobox U.S. federal election campaign}}. Copy the wiki markup under usage to your article and fill in the appropriate info for your article. — JJMC89 18:18, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

One last request here, may you please add the campaign slogan under the HQ?
The Manley campaign slogan/motto is: "Rejuvenating our Generation" Erin.Marcott (talk) 21:52, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

@Erin.Marcott:  Done here. — JJMC89 22:00, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

I couldn't find it, however can you rename the article to Elijah Manley (politician), I've tried. Erin.Marcott (talk) 22:37, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

@Erin.Marcott: Parenthetical additions to page titles are used for disambiguation. Since there isn't another article on a Elijah Manley there is no need to rename the article. — JJMC89 23:01, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

Also, I've tried to obtain that campaign's logo and add it here, doesn't work as well. The logo is the oval shaped symbol on their Facebook page at: [4] Erin.Marcott (talk) 22:50, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

@Erin.Marcott: You need to upload the image to use it on Wikipedia, if copyright allows. — JJMC89 23:01, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

I need to change the name of the article "Elijah Manley" on Wikipedia to "Elijah Manley Presidential Campaign, 2016" Erin.Marcott (talk) 20:19, 16 September 2015 (UTC)

@Erin.Marcott: Since the article is not just about the campaign, it should not be moved to Elijah Manley presidential campaign, 2016. — JJMC89 03:00, 19 September 2015 (UTC)

Would like to add logo to Elijah Manley. Logo can be viewed here: [5] or on [6] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Earlyoung1 (talkcontribs) 23:34, 23 September 2015 (UTC)
