From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An electrophysiogist is a scientist who studies the electrical properties of cells and tissues. Electrophysiology can be used to study a range of different processes from, single ion channels (using patch-clamp electrophysiology) right up to cardiac electrophysiology which can be used diagnostically. Electrophysiologists training can therefore be drawn from a range of discipline such as medicine, biology, biophysics, biostatistics, physiology and pharmacology etc.
